All-Color Tattoo Removal Now Available at Hamilton Dermatology
Hamilton Dermatology is proud to announce it is the first in the Atlanta area to offer the brand-new 532nm PicoSuretm aesthetic laser handpiece, an upgrade to its existing PicoSure® system.
The new 532nm handpiece was recently cleared by the FDA for use in tattoo removal. Unlike many other laser tattoo removal options, the PicoSure® can now quickly and effectively remove tattoos of all colors.
PicoSure® is the world’s first picosecond aesthetic laser. This innovative laser sends short pulse bursts of energy to the skin in trillionths of a second. Picosecond pulse width is 100 times shorter than traditional nanosecond technology.
The 532nm handpiece focuses on all color wavelengths, which means that difficult red, orange, and yellow tattoo inks are easier to remove than ever before. Dr. Tiffani Hamilton is proud to offer this improved solution for tattoo removal in the Atlanta area. As always, dark inks, as well as previously-treated tattoos, can be removed with thePicoSure® laser.
How does the PicoSure® laser work for tattoo removal?
Traditional nanosecond lasers predominately rely on photothermal action, delivering heat to the pigment and surrounding tissue. PicoSure® uses ultra-short pulses of energy to shatter the target ink into tiny particles that are easily eliminated by the body. This means better results with fewer treatments. The surrounding skin and tissue are not affected by the laser.
