Your skin may be sensitive and reactive. You may have even been diagnosed with Rosacea. You might tend to be more dry and dehydrated and your skin has a red appearance. When the weather cools and the indoor heating is turned on, it can really be torture for you! The main goal is not irritate your skin during the cleansing process. Choosing a gentle foaming cleanser with few additives is your best choice. Treating the skin with a retinol will assist in exfoliation and anti-aging efforts. However, if they are too strong, it can cause a lot of redness, dryness, and peeling. With Rosacea and other sensitive skin types, other ingredients are recommend to effectively treat these conditions. Using a vitamin C product can be beneficial for anti aging as well as brightening. The C Sal product line contains 1% salicylic acid to help with penetration. However, for very sensitive skin, we recommend finding a good treatment regimen first and adding in the Vit C element after 1-2 months of consistent use of treatment products. Every single person needs to use some type of moisture on the skin. Dry skin may need to layer the moisturizers or use a heavier type of moisturizer. Alternately, oiler skin may like the texture of a lightweight gel or oil free moisturizer. The most important thing a person can do for the skin is to product it from ultraviolet rays. Physical sun protection is a crucial part of every regimen. Our sunscreens have a “primer like” feel and look and produce a nice matte finish.
