Hamilton DermaScience Brightening Peel and Sensitive Peel Represent the New Generation of Skincare

As a participant in clinical trials and a dermatologist committed to the science behind cosmetics, Dr. Tiffani Hamilton made sure that Hamilton DermaScience’s line of chemical peels contained ingredients clinically proven to address her patients’ top skin concerns.

Until the end of March 31, 2015, patients can enjoy our Brightening Peel and Sensitive Peel for $300 – a $50 savings. You will also get $150 in skincare products along with each peel. These products include a cleanser, a balm, and a sunscreen to help you achieve the maximum effects at home. Some Hamilton DermaScience chemical peel kits may contain more ingredients, depending on the skin concern being treated.

Hamilton DermaScience Brightening Peel for uneven skin tone

Patients who wish to correct an uneven skin tone are invited to try Hamilton DermaScience’s new Brightening Peel.

Who can use the Brightening Peel?

The Brightening Peel uses acids, combined with potent non-acidic ingredients that do not burn, wound or injure the skin. For this reason, it can be used to treat patients with darker complexions.

How does it work?

The Brightening Peel Solution is applied during an in-office visit at Hamilton Dermatology. The solution is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on their skin type. Patients leave the office with this solution on their face. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Brightening Peel products following removal of the Brightening Peel Solution.

Are there any side effects with the Brightening Peel?

While some patients may feel a mild tingling sensation from the peeling solution, the treatment is virtually painless.

What results can I expect with the Brightening Peel?

Results will vary, but generally patients will see an improvement in the appearance in the brightness and tone of their skin. Patients experience peeling for 5 days after.  Patients who don’t see peeling are still receiving all the benefits of the Brightening Peel. Proper skin evaluation by your doctor prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your peel.

Hamilton DermaScience Sensitive Peel for sensitive, redness-prone skin

Irritation and redness are no more with Hamilton DermaScience’s gentle Sensitive Peel, specially formulated to be gentle on redness-prone, sensitive skin.

Who can use the Sensitive Peel?

The combination of Salicylic, Mandelic and Azelaic acids with a gentle retinoid gently exfoliates skin. These mild acids do not burn, wound or injure the skin, and are far less irritating than ingredients found in traditional peels. The Sensitive Peel is ideal for patients with sensitive, more reactive skin conditions.

How does it work?

The Sensitive Masque is applied at Hamilton Dermatology by one of our qualified providers. The masque does not burn or sting and is removed after approximately 10 minutes with the HPR Wipe. The wipe solution remains on the skin and patients are instructed to remove it after a specific length of time.

Patients are given an easy-to-follow at-home regimen to help achieve the desired result. The comprehensive fragrance and paraben-free skincare products help calm sensitive and redness-prone skin conditions while amplifying the benefits of the in-office treatment.

Are there any side effects with the Sensitive Peel?

Some patients with more dry or sensitive eyes may experience redness, excess tear production, or other signs of eye irritation while the peel preparation is on the face or for a short time after its removal. An appropriate lubricating eye drop, such as Refresh Plus®, available at most drugstores, will help relieve these symptoms.

What results can I expect with the Sensitive Peel?

Results will vary, but generally patients will see an improvement in skin texture and appearance. Because the Sensitive Peel was formulated with the most sensitive patients in mind, patients will still receive all the benefits of Sensitive Peel even if little or no peeling is seen. Proper skin evaluation by your doctor prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

For best results, patients are encouraged to undergo 4-6 treatments performed every 3-4 weeks or as directed by your physician. Weather, diet and lifestyle are all external factors that can contribute to a worsening of your sensitive skin. You can repeat your treatment as desired. If your skin continues to be irritated and red, please consult your physician.
